In Lake George

Jay and I headed up to Lake George in August and got to spend a couple days on our own up there. We had such a great time together, its hard to believe we have been married for 20 years! We took this picture from on top of a mountain that overlooks Lake George. What a beautiful place. Posted by Picasa

A day in PA

For my sister Janet's birthday, I think she was turning 21 again, we heading to PA with the Newark Museum. One stop was to see the play, My Fair Lady, starring the guy from busom buddies (for young ones, that was a show in the 80s with Tom Hanks). We had such a great time at the show and just being together all day. Happy Birthday Janet!! Posted by Picasa
Jay planted some of the most wonderful rose bushes for me this year. I love to see them first thing in the morning as I head out to do my Bible reading and prayer journal. I am not looking forward to the winter when the roses are not there and I cannot sit my the waterfall as I pray. Posted by Picasa
I took this photo on the Garden State Parkway heading down to NJIT to drop my son off at college. Jay and I drove in the truck with Kyle and Meg following us in his Jeep. It was a grey day, perfect for my grey mood. I know that I have heard of mothers happy to leave their kids off at school but I just don't get it. It was all I could do not to cry and embarass the heck out of him. I waited for the ride home for that. Posted by Picasa

I am in trouble

Alright, Its a rainy Friday night and I am figuring out how to use this whole blog thing and it is FUN. And dangerous. I might give up playing pogo and spend my time blogging. I can't wait to see how far I can go with this.

Peek A Boo!

I loved this little cowboy who kept peeking out at me, thinking he was ruining my shot and not realizing that he WAS the shot. Posted by Picasa

Future rodeo stars

In August my husband and I spent a couple of days in Lake George before we visited our daughter up at camp. On Friday night we went to the Painted Pony Rodeo. What a fun night, who knew you could find good rodeo in upstate NY? I loved the kids all dressed up as cowboys strutting around the area. I fell in love with the image of these four kids all sitting together watching the riders and dreaming of being in their places one day. I hope they will make it!

OK Cyberworld, here I come

OK, Here I am an almost middle aged suburban housewife trying to see what this blogging is all about. I would rather be heading out on some trip to a new place in the world that I haven't seen but I have been grounded for the next few (or more than few) years, until both kids are through college. Since I can't explore the corners of the world I think I will enter the cyber world and see what it has to offer. That and get to post some of my photographs. I have no idea how to get pictures in on this but that is the fun of it all..wish me luck,
